A film this self-aware of itself will never match the unintentional humour and campy fun of the original TV show. Apart from a few moments that allow Will Ferrell to improvise with Danny McBride, it's generally a failure of a film: too childish for an adult to enjoy, too vulgar for children. You can see why this film did so poorly at the box office.
